Ray Wijewardene Memorial Lecture 2012

Professor Gehan Amaratunga

Ray Wijewardene Memorial Lecture 2013 on “Being Ingenious at the Nano-scale” was delivered by Professor Gehan Amaratunga on 15 November 2012
at the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) Auditorium, Colombo.

Professor Amaratunga FREng., FIET, CEng. has held the 1966 Professorship  in Engineering at the University of Cambridge since 1998. Head of the Electronics, Power and Energy Conversion Group, Electrical Engineering 
Division of the Cambridge Engineering Faculty. Awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal 'for outstanding personal contributions to British engineering' in 2007.  He has an active research programme on the synthesis and electronic applications of carbon nanotubes and other nanoscale materials.
